About Us

Women Are Rising & Unmasking Their Stories (WAR) was an idea birthed from a theatrical play written in 2012, "Ladies Night Unmasked," written and produced by Karen Trimuel. In that story, a question is posed to five friends, leading them through a journey of drama, pain, and unmasking to gain the strength to answer the question truthfully. Through the unfolding of their stories, each character would find their strength to heal. Well, unbeknownst to all, the story went well beyond the stage. Patrons would corner the writer afterward and tell her that they felt their stories were being played out on stage, and for some, they too would be led on a journey of self-discovery and self-healing; this would also include the writer. 

 

The story would become a published book during the pandemic in 2020, and later a movement, which has now become WAR-Women Are Rising & Unmasking Their Stories and Women's Inner-empowerment movement. Now, a group of phenomenal women who choose to love, support, and embrace one another.

Our mission is to provide a safe and confidential space where women can connect, share their stories, and seek guidance from each other. Through mutual respect, empathy, and trust, we aim to create a community that empowers women to be their authentic selves and live their lives to the fullest. By working together and supporting each other, we can create a world where all women have the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential. Our group is committed to promoting the rights and well-being of women, and we strive to be a force for positive change in our local and global communities.

We aim to create a nurturing environment where women can engage in thought-provoking discussions, share their experiences, collaborate, and engage in social activities.
